Wrap-Around Shades

Who's that girl strolling down the street
Looking so cool, I think she's looking at me
Now she's coming my way, I think I might just have it made
But as I try to say "hi," she just keeps walking by
The woman whose eyes are hiding behind those
Wrap-around shades
I Followed behind to find out what she's all about
Is she window shopping, is she checking me out
If we're playing cat and mouse, then it's me she's trying to evade
Let me be the guy to remove her disguise
The woman whose eyes are hiding behind those
Wrap-around shades
We should be walking together
hand in hand and side by side
We could be lovers forever
gaze into each other's eyes
Standing on the corner waiting for the light to change
If I try to say hello, will she think that I'm strange
I better think of something good to say, before my opportunity fades
But the light changed to "walk," and I never did talk
The woman whose eyes are hiding behind those
Wrap-around shades
Now she's crossing the street, headed for a sidewalk cafe
She's meeting some guy, yeah it looks like a date
To be in his place, everything I own I would trade
But I'll just keep on going, without ever knowing
The woman whose eyes are hiding behind those
Wrap-around shades
